Objective

Lyme is the fastest growing infectious disease in the United States, and New Jersey is endemic for Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses. This course will assist medical professionals in the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of these complex infections.

Conference Description and Goals

  • To learn the history and evolution of Lyme disease
  • To learn the myriad clinical presentations of Lyme disease and associated co-infections
  • To learn how to properly choose and evaluate laboratory tests in tick borne infections
  • To learn appropriate treatment strategies for acute and chronic Lyme disease and associated co-infections
  • To learn the medical literature that establishes an evidence based medical practice in the treatment of tick borne infections

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Polices of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) through the joint sponsorship of the Westchester Academy of Medicine and ILADS. The Westchester Academy of Medicine is accredited by the Medical Society of New York (MSSNY) to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians.

The Westchester Academy of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.5 AMA PRA Category I Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MD, DO, ND, DMD, DVM, PhD, PsyD, RN, NP, PA, LCSW, DC, PT and select alternative medicine providers.

Payment Information

Fundamentals Course: $200. After registration and receipt of payment delegates will be sent an email confirmation, which should be printed out and brought to the conference registration.

Cancellation Policy

50% refund given when cancelled until August 1, 2014. No refund can be given after August 12, 2014.
