Objective

This scientific session will provide evidence based medicine that describes the clinical spectrum of tick-borne diseases, their diagnosis and treatment, and the assessment of co-morbid conditions.

ILADS encourages medical professionals who are new to the treatment of tick-borne diseases, or would like a refresher course on the basics of diagnosis and treatment to register for the Lyme Fundamentals Course as well as the Conference. Learn More About The Course.

Conference Description and Goals

  • To learn the clinical spectrum of tick borne infections with emphasis on neurological manifestations
  • To learn the pathophysiological mechanisms of chronic disease that apply to tick borne infections
  • To learn cutting edge treatments of the sequelae of chronic infection and inflammation
  • To learn appropriate treatment strategies for acute and chronic tick borne infections
  • To learn about co-morbid conditions that contribute to chronic illness
  • To learn the appropriate medical literature to build an evidence based medical practice

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) through the joint sponsorship of Westchester Academy of Medicine and International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society. The Westchester Academy of Medicine is accredited by MSSNY to provide continuing Medical Education for physicians.

The Westchester Academy of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 18.75 AMA PRA Category I Credits TM. Physicians should only claim the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Cancellation Policy

Registration for the ILADS Fundamentals and ILADS 15th Annual Conference 2014 Conference is non-refundable if cancelled after October 3, 2014. If canceled prior to October 3, 2014, 80% of cost will be refunded.

As part of our mission to improve the quality of healthcare to people with Lyme and tick-borne diseases, LymeDisease.org will reimburse up to $500 out-of-pocket expenses for first time medical professionals to attend the 3-day Friday-Sunday October 10-12, 2014 International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society / ILADS, held at Grand Hyatt, Washington, D.C. In addition, LymeDisease.org will also reimburse medical professionals 50% of cost of first year membership to ILADS.
