Sigrid Blehle, MD

Ms. Blehle studied human medicine in Gießen (Germany) and received her license to practice medicine in 1989. In 1995 she successfully completed her advanced training as a specialist in general medicine. Afterwards, Ms Blehle worked in various management positions as well as in consulting both within and outside the health care system in Germany. 2010-2011 she successfully completed the Health Economics, which she completed with the Health Economist (ebs) and with the M.B.A. Health Care Management. She has a wide range of medical knowledge, especially in rheumatology field and autoimmune diseases. Since 2017 she has been working exclusively on the field of tick-borne diseases, first as deputy medical director and as partner of Dr. Nicolaus in the BCA. Dr. Nicolaus left the patient care in April 2020 and Mrs. Blehle took over his part of the private practice of the BCA. Since then she continues the care of all patients in the private practice Alviasana. She is a member of the German Borreliosis Society and ILADS.

András Pál Bózsik, MSc

András Pál Bózsik, MSc biophysicist, specialised in IVD diagnostics of Lyme borreliosis (28 years of research), PhD student on laboratory investigation of Borrelia species. Guest lecturer at the Semmelweis University of Budapest on the topic of laboratory investigation of Lyme borreliosis.

Robert C. Bransfield, MD

Dr. Robert C. Bransfield, MD, DLFAPA is a graduate of Rutgers College and the George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatric residency training at Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Bransfield’s primary activity is an office based private practice of psychiatry. In addition, Dr Bransfield is the Past President of ILADS, the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Educational Foundation and the New Jersey Psychiatric Association. He has held a number of administrative positions with organizations involved with health, mental health and community related activities. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Rutgers—Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Dr Bransfield has authored and co-authored a number of publications in peer-reviewed literature, other medical publications and books; has been active in political advocacy on an international, national, state and local level.

Geoffrey Dow, PhD

Geoffrey Dow is the CEO, President, and a Director of 60 Degrees Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He has 13 years of leadership and advisory experience in the antimalarial drug development program at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Veterinary and Biomedical Science from Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia (1994), a Ph.D. in Veterinary and Biomedical Science from Murdoch University (2000), and an MBA from the University of Maryland at College Park (2012).

Garth Ehrlich, PhD

Dr. Ehrlich is Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He also directs three Research Centers of Excellence within the University’s Institute of Molecular Medicine and Infectious disease: the Center for Genomic Sciences (CGS); the Center for Advanced Microbial Processing (CAMP); and the Center for Chronic Infections and Biofilms. Dr. Ehrlich’s team utilized a broad array of microbiological analyses, comparative genomic techniques and bioinformatic tools, many developed in-house, to identify and characterize virulence genes within pathogens, and susceptibility genes to pathogens within their hosts. Dr. Ehrlich is also one of the founders of the field of Clinical Molecular Diagnostics (MDx), having been involved in the original application of PCR for the detection of human retroviruses in 1985. Dr. Ehrlich received his PhD from Syracuse University in molecular biology in 1987.

Leona Gilbert, PhD

Dr. Gilbert is a Docent of Cell and Molecular Biology and the CEO of Te?ted Oy, a university spinoff company that has a goal to get the patient tested so they can be treated and recover quicker. Leona has over 20 years experience in research driven initiatives that provided valuable tools for patients. 

She has a doctorate in biotechnology and a very long experience in bio-innovation and bio-business. 

Gilbert’s research initiatives into complete diagnostic platforms and clinical profiling of patients for tick-borne and autoimmune diseases will allow a better understanding of how chronic conditions could be established with infectious pathogens.

Rosalie Greenberg, MD

Dr. Rosalie Greenberg is a Board-Certified Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, known for her expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex psychiatric problems in children, and pediatric psychopharmacology.

Dr. Greenberg received her MD from Columbia University’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she also completed her training in adult psychiatry, as well as a fellowship in child psychiatry, serving as chief resident.  She subsequently served for years on the teaching faculty at Columbia.   

 A firm believer in the power of education, Dr. Greenberg is an author, researcher, lecturer, co-producer of an educational film, and creator and host of an award-winning cable TV show, all related to children’s health.  These various activities have been geared to both medical professionals and the lay public, including presentations at both national and international conferences.  Dr. Greenberg brings her 40+ years of experience to topics that range from adolescent suicide and pediatric bipolar disorder as well as the many psychological aspects attributed to Lyme disease.  Working in New Jersey, where Lyme disease is endemic, she found a sizable number of the children she evaluated, tested positive for tick-borne illness, most of whom never had a known tick bite.  For the past few years, she has focused on the psychiatric manifestations of infectious diseases, especially, tick-borne illnesses in children and adolescents.

Donald C. Hall, Jr., PhD

Donald C. Hall Jr. (DJ) is an assistant professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. He obtained his PhD in 2020 in chemical biology/medicinal chemistry from Drexel University Department of Chemistry with a focus on the development of antibiofilm compounds. Dr. Hall did a post-doctoral fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine under the direction of Prof. Garth Ehrlich focusing on antibiofilm therapeutics, molecular diagnostics and novel antimicrobial materials.

Within Drexel, Dr. Hall also serves as the director of operations for Drexel Medicine Diagnostics Laboratory, a CLIA and CAP accredited diagnostics laboratory focused on molecular diagnostics and toxicology.

Jack Lambert, MD, PhD

Dr. Lambert is a consultant in Infectious diseases and genito-urinary medicine, and has been practicing in Dublin, Ireland as a consultant in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and Rotunda Maternity hospitals, with teaching appointments at UCD School of Medicine and Medical Science. He is director of the National Isolation Unit for Highly Infectious Diseases at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and a member of the National Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Committee of the HSE. 

He trained at Michigan State University and Rochester NY, and he was an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland Institute of Human Virology in Baltimore prior to returning to the UK in 2000.

Tatjana Mijatovic, PhD

Tatjana Mijatovic holds PhD. in Molecular Biology. T. Mijatovic authored 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals (21 as first or senior author/ 29 as co-author) and holds 2 granted patents as first author. Since 2011 T. Mijatovic is Project Leader, Lab Manager and CSO at R.E.D. Laboratories. R.E.D. Laboratories is Belgium-based Biotech Company developing and performing specialty tests to assess multifactorial afflictions like TBDs, CFS, chronic immune dysfunctions, chronic infections, intestinal dysfunctions, autism, etc. Dr Mijatovic is active in a number of international scientific groups and networks. Previously, Dr Mijatovic performed as (i) R&D Project Leader and Head of Biology in Biotech Company specialized in the discovery of new anti-cancer agents, (ii) Publications Manager consultant for Pharmaceutical Companies and (iii) scientist at the University of Brussels (ULB) in Belgium.

Branislav Milovanovic, MD, PhD

Dr. Branislav Milovanovic received his MD and PhD from the University of Belgrade. He is currently a full professor of Internal Medicine – Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, and Chief of Neurocardiology at the Institute of Cardiovascular Disease-Dedinje (Belgrade). He is also a professor at the Medical Faculty in Saransk, Russia and an Active member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts based in Salzburg

Omar Morales, MD

Dr. Omar Morales was born in San Diego and lived in Tijuana until 2003. He studied at The University of Guadalajara, receiving a secondary degree in Transfusion Medicine with a focus on immunological diseases. He later moved to Puerto Vallarta where he developed a special interest in treating tropical diseases with a hematological approach. He is CEO and founder of Lyme Mexico Clinic which employs a multidisciplinary and integrative approach to address the challenges of Lyme disease. Additionally, Dr. Morales is currently Chair of the ILADS Latin America work group, on the advisory board of CA Spinal Rehab Clinic, oversees the Puerto Vallarta blood bank, serves as the Medical Sub-Director of the Biomedical Center, and is President/Co-Founder of Biomedical Cancer Institute. Dr. Morales is also an active researcher of the renowned Biomedical Center de Occidente and contributes to national and international publications.

B. Robert Mozayeni, MD

Dr. Mozayeni was trained in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Yale and at NIH. He has had pre- and post-doctoral Fellowships in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale, and also at NIH where he was a Howard Hughes Research Scholar at LMB/DCBD/NCI and later, Senior Staff Fellow at LMMB/NHLBI/NIH. He is an expert in Translational Medicine, the science and art of advancing medical science safely and efficiently. He is a Fellow of the non-profit Think Lead Innovate Foundation and is a co-founder of the Foundation for the Study of Inflammatory Diseases. He is a Founder of the Foundation for the Study of Inflammatory Diseases to crowd-source medical solutions for complex conditions using existing knowledge, diagnostic methods, and therapies to meet patient needs immediately. He is the Chief Medical Officer of Galaxy Diagnostics, LLC. And, he was recently appointed to be a Board member of the Human-Kind Alliance. Dr. Mozayeni has held admitting privileges (since 1994) on the clinical staff of Suburban Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine and an affiliate of the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center.

Carsten Nicolaus, PhD

Dr Carsten Nicolaus is a world-renowned Lyme expert, dedicated to researching, diagnosing, and treating Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. Since 1990, he has advised over 25,000 Lyme patients from more than 80 countries and has trained and mentored over 1,500 doctors since 2006.

Amy Offutt, MD

Dr. Offutt is the medical director and co-owner of Heart & Soul Integrative Health and Yoga which she co-founded with her husband, Brad, in 2007, located in Marble Falls, Texas. Her first seven years of practice were focused on rural family medicine and obstetrics after which she transitioned to approach the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases using integrative medicine. She completed medical school at The University ofTexas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Christus Health. She has completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and has a Master’s Degree in Integrative Medicine from George Washington University.

Pol De Saedeleer, PharmD

Pol De Saedeleer graduated from the University of Louvain in 1991 as a Doctor in Pharmaceutical Science. In addition to his PharmD, Dr. De Saedeleer also has two Master’s degrees: the first in Nutritional and Phytotherapeutical therapies at IMPB in Louvain-La-Neuve, and the second in Homeopathic Practice at VSU in Ghent. As the head of a Belgian compounding pharmacy and Scientific director of two research-focused nutritional laboratories, Pol De Saedeleer has taken a particular interest in dealing with immune-related pathologies. Dr. De Saedeleer presents at medical conferences and workshops throughout Europe, including A4M, ILADS, and the German Borreliose Society, where he provides evidence-oriented medicine and pharmaceutical and nutritional recommendations to improve patient health. In addition to his role as the Chairman of the European ILADS Commission, Pol De Saedeleer is also the chair and organizer of the International Conference of Chronic Pathologies in Antwerp, an annual international conference with a high turnout of medical professionals and experts, and one of the largest European conferences with a strong focus on sharing and exchanging information between physicians.

Armin Schwarzbach, MD, PhD

Dr. Armin Schwarzbach, Medical Doctor and Specialist for Laboratory Medicine, founder of ArminLabs, has been at the forefront of tick-borne research for more than 20 years and is an expert in diagnosing and treating infectious diseases. He is an Advisory Board member of AONM London, England, and Board Member of the German Borreliosis Society and former Board Member and Member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), and Board Member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Educational Foundation (ILADEF) and has served as an expert on advisory committees on Lyme Disease in Australia, Canada, Ireland, France, England, Sweden and Germany.

Marc Shawky, PhD

Dr. Shawky is Full Professor at Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France, with the Computer Science department, Costech Laboratory. He is a member of the European network of excellence AI4EU, working groups “AI for health”, “Ethics of AI” and “AI Explainability”. He is focusing his research works currently on generalizing the use of artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning, to comfort the diagnosis of clinical physicians for long-term persistent infections.

Samuel M. Shor, MD, FACP

Dr. Shor is an Associate Clinical Professor at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Shor received his MD from Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine, and subsequently cultivated an interest in managing chronic fatigue syndrome and associated conditions, which ultimately led to his expertise in Lyme disease. Dr. Shor has presented to Congress on Lyme disease, appeared on NPR’s nationally syndicated Diane Rehm Show twice, and in 2010, was invited to serve on the Virginia Governor’s Task Force on Lyme disease. Dr. Shor serves as Chair of the Loudoun County Lyme Commission, while actively pursuing clinical activity in the management of complex patients, and overseeing research and contributing to publishing in peer-reviewed literature.

Louis Teulieres, MD, PhD

Dr. Teulieres has thirty years experience in infectious diseases and clinical immunology at the Pasteur Institute and Universities Hospitals in France. He has been in clinical practice since 2003, focused on immune and infectious diseases, Lyme and associated diseases and neurodegenerative conditions: neuroborreliosis and ASD. He is also a member of Phages Research and Clinical Joint Development Group (Phelix Charity and Leicester University).
